DAVID ESTRINGEL
NOVEMBER 15, 2022
Sour Grapes
Crumb’ling truths
and destinies, entwined,
fray
and crumble
to dust
at the speed of
rushes o’ blood
to cuckolded cheeks,
boiling tears
and setting fire to the rain,
melting
souring
this love—
a wounded fruit—like
ice cream
left
in the sun
too
long.
