Deathly Puddles

Puddles that

the unknowns' blood-shot eyes lurk

cover the road that I'm standing on.

Ripples that they make

break serenity

and pour deathly coldness

into my veins.

The darkest sky has already

abandoned me.

I'm just standing,

holding my breath,

lest I'm caught by

the unknowns' mad eyes and

sink to these puddles.
